Student Scholarship Application

Dear student,

The Culinary Arts Society of Oklahoma is a local chapter of the American Culinary Federation. We were founded in 1989 and have been dedicated to improving the foodservice industry and fostering support among chefs in Oklahoma. Our members are actively involved in the community and provide support to students, chefs and others in the industry.

Annually our local chapter offers a scholarship for culinary students to use for tuition, supplies, or equipment needed to be successful in their education. We understand that you may just be starting to learn about the culinary industry and as an applicant for this scholarship, we would like to learn more about what your goals and ambitions are in the culinary industry. Please write an essay and let us know why you are interested in the culinary industry, where you would like to be in 3 to 5 years and how you plan to get there. We would like for this essay to be around 250 words.

We look forward to learning more about you and your ambitions in the culinary industry.

Sincerely,

Will Fenwick, CEC

President

Instructor Scholarship Application

Dear Instructor,

The Culinary Arts Society of Oklahoma is a local chapter of the American Culinary Federation. We were founded in 1989 and have been dedicated to improving the foodservice industry and fostering support among chefs in Oklahoma. Our members are actively involved in the community and provide support to students, chefs and others in the industry.

This year our local chapter is offering a scholarship for culinary instructors and educators. You are welcome to use the scholarship funds to improve your classroom or help with continuing education or certifications. Several of our members are or have been educators and understand the challenges you may encounter. As an applicant for this scholarship, we would like to know how this scholarship may help you in your classroom or career. Please write an essay on how your passion for teaching, including culinary arts, influences your students and how you would like to further your career. We would like for this essay to be around 250 words.

We look forward to learning more about you and your ambitions in the culinary industry.

Sincerely,

Will Fenwick, CEC
